About Me - Trying to live free

Ok, were do I start. I am a man who thinks living in this world the way it is, is not for me. Years ago I came to the conclusion that living more of a simple life best suits me. I started thinking this way years ago when I got divorced. I have a bunch of kids and I payed a lot in child support and I was pretty broke. So instead of complaining and crying about it I decided that since this was a long term situation, I needed to make some changes. Either I had to get a couple more jobs or figure out how to live with what I have. I will go into details in other posts but I did what I had to to get buy and figured out I was pretty good at living on the cheap so I kept going with it. Fast forward 10 years or so later I still live that way. Even though a couple of my kids are grown and the money situation is much better. 

I spend my time thinking of ways to spend less money and I am trying to come up with a plan so that when my last child turns 18, I can retire early and live as free as possible until I can officially retire and get my retirement benefits. 

With following this path in my life I have started thinking with a prepper's mindset. I am using any money I can save to purchase things that will help me live the way I want. I have a long road to go but I am confident that in the end I will be able to live the way I want. Free. 

So I will be posting on here and on social media what I have done, what I am doing, and what I am going to do and hopefully learn a long the way from people I share this with and maybe help some people out as well. 

I am new to this blogging stuff so I may change things around so bare with me while I learn about this too....
