Homemade Laundry Soap - Trying To Live Free

Trying to save money is alway key when trying to live free. I got this idea from watching youtube videos and I came across a DIY video on how to make homemade laundry soap. It was actually pretty easy. You just have to buy the ingredients and mix them together and that is it. I will list them with the prices below. Above is an actual picture of my laundry soap. I use only 4 tablespoons of it each load and this was full about six months ago. It should last me almost to the end of the year and save me tons. I think I paid about $21 for all the ingredients and that is once a year. You can probably pay that much each month if you buy it from the store.

Two things I was concerned about was one, it being a powder. I am not a fan of powder laundry soap because in the past, I always seen the powder stuck to my clothes after it is done washing. It doesn't happen for some reason with this laundry soap. And two, I have sensitive skin and I was worried I would break out in a rash if I used this. But that also didn't happen.

So like I said, just buy all 3 ingredients and mix them in a 5 gallon bucket. Then put it in a more user friendly container and there you go. Clothes are clean and they smell good. All for $21 a year. You can beat that when you are trying to live free.

Here are the ingredients:
