Trying To Live Free - Weed Sprayer Shower

Trying To Live Free - Weed Sprayer Shower

Trying To Live Free -  Weed Sprayer Shower

When I first started thinking of going off grid many questions came into my head. One of them was how was I going to shower? Without electricity and running water that was going to be a hard one. I looked it up and found many ways to do this, like a camping shower or using solar panels to run the water pump to my home but the first one was too simple and the second I had no idea how to do it.
So I came across a website that had something simple to use and was something I could do. Now I have tried it and it works fine. It took some time to get used to showering that way but really its not too bad. In the winter time it was a little cold in the house so it was tough rinsing my body, turning the shower off, washing up, then turning it off again and then rinsing the soap off. But it worked and it was cheap to buy all the parts and easy to set up. A link of the original website I got the idea from is here. Weed Sprayer Shower .

So these are the things I need. I bought them all from Walmart and the total cost was less than the website I got the information from. There total price was about $72. Mine came out to about $25.

So the difference really is that my hand held shower sprayer has an on/off switch so you don't have to buy one. Also, I don't think you need to have a wall mount. I just put it on the shower floor when I wasn't using it. And I didn't spend much on the bug sprayer, they had a metal one that was pretty expensive. So I went with a plastic one.

The bug sprayer is a 2 gallon one and it was plenty of water to wash up. It took me a few tries to get the shower done in time because I am so used to taking as long as I want but once I did it was no problem.

Here is a picture of my final project. Let me know what you think.

I know this may sound weird but I think it is a great idea. It's easy and doesn't cost a lot. The only other alternative I may use is to just take baths. But who knows. I may just use both and switch it up a little bit.
